Jeong (정) I made this accordion book to explore the Korean word jeong, a concept that represents attachment, connection, and the quiet bonds between people. I was fascinated by how it can encompass love, empathy, friendship, yearning, sacrifice, and passion, and how at its core, it creates a subtle but enduring tie shaped by shared experiences and care over time.
Each page expresses a different nuance of jeong through Korean words that include the character. I wanted the book to show the richness of human connection and how jeong can capture all these feelings and moments in one word.
