Typographics Festival 2025
Typographics is an annual design festival at The Cooper Union in New York City, dedicated to contemporary typography and its future. For its 11th edition, I was part of the design team responsible for creating the festival’s branding assets across print, digital, and environmental formats.
This year’s identity was built around a bold, segmented typographic system characterized by bulky letterforms, tilted compositions, and playful arrangements. The visual language was designed to feel energetic and experimental, reflecting the festival’s spirit of exploration and dialogue around typography.
Building on this foundation, my role included developing materials ranging from small-scale items like book fair flyers, schedules, social media posts, and sponsor windows to large vinyl installations, wayfinding systems, and signage. A key challenge of the project was to design cohesive yet distinct visual identities for three core components of the festival: the Conference, TypeLab, and the Book Fair. Each required a tailored color palette and graphic language while still connecting back to the overarching festival identity.
Through this work, we built a flexible design system that could adapt across mediums and contexts, supporting the festival’s vibrant atmosphere and helping audiences navigate a wide-ranging program of events. Click here to learn more about the event.
